A chlorhexidine Gluconate surgical handwash which is both mild on the skin and highly effective in reducing microbial counts on the skin.

Composition - A chlorhexidine Gluconate aqueous antiseptic skin cleanser. The active ingredient is 4% w/v Chlorhexidine Gluconate containing non-ionic surfactants, emollients and moisturizers specially selected for their mildness to skin and their compatibility with chlorhexidine Gluconate. The activity of chlorhexidine Gluconate is formulation dependent.

Actions - Chlorhexidine Gluconate is absorbed through the bacterial cell wall obstructing its permeability. It interferes with the cell’s physiological activity leading to its destruction. Chlorhexidine Gluconate provides cumulative and residual protection against micro-organisms. Chlorhexidine Gluconate is active against most Gram positive and negative bacteria. It is also active against lipophilic viruses.
