Anatomically shaped hydrocellular heel dressing

Description

Askina® Heel is an anatomically shaped, two layered, non adherent foam dressing, which includes a securement foam strap and two self adhesive hooks that allow dressing to remain in place even during movement.
Askina® Heel dressing is also available as Askina® Heel XL, with 33% larger surface area.

Indication

Management of moderately to heavily exuding, partial to full thickness wounds on the heel: stage I-IV pressure ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, surgical incisions, 1 and 2degree burns

Contraindication

Askina Heel is contraindicated for:

• Ulcers resulting from infections, such as tuberculosis, syphilis, deep fungal infections
• Bites or third degree burns

In case of infection with inflammatory signs (temperature, oedema, redness, pain) contact proper medical authority. Resume use of Askina Heel when normal healing conditions are present again. Do not use if pack is damaged or opened.
